Job summary

Eskenazi Health seeks a Practice Management Analyst to support operations across primary care centers. You will work with senior leaders, coordinators, and providers to optimize scheduling, onboarding, payroll, and reporting processes.

In this role you’ll ensure data integrity for timekeeping, assist with residency scheduling, and coordinate with EPIC Optimizers for training and improvements. Strong analytical, Excel, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a health related field.
  • 5 years of healthcare or research/data analysis experience may be accepted in lieu of bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with EHC senior leadership and providers to support patient care and operations.
  • Serve as a liaison between EHC and operational leadership for assigned areas of focus.
  • Coordinate residents’ schedule templates, time off, and make up sessions with residency coordinators.
  • Advocate for providers to identify opportunities for improvement and achieve organizational initiatives.
  • Oversee time keeping data entry for providers in the FQHC division.
  • Support onboarding of new primary care providers and schedule templates.
  • Coordinate with EPIC Optimizers for provider training and data reporting.
  • Monitor schedule utilization to support revenue efforts and performance.
  • Provide clear communication to stakeholders and maintain operating data portfolios.

Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 333-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus including at a network of Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

Job Role Summary

The Practice Management Analyst is accountable for supporting Eskenazi Health Center (EHC) operations in the areas of provider compliance, provider onboarding, provider and resident schedule templates, payroll, time off work, productivity, and reporting and analysis of data. This position reports to the Area Operations Director, Clinical Information Systems and will partner with AOD, CIS on day-to-day operations as well as short and long term planning and strategic initiatives. The Practice Management Analyst works with all levels of leadership and management and is a valued partner in EHC strategic operations. Areas of focus may include operational practice management and physicians, residents and APPs within primary care.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with EHC senior leadership, EHC operations team, health center leadership teams, and providers to support and enhance patient care and the practice environment. Service as a resource to in all areas of focus.
  • Serve as a liaison between EHC and EMG operational leadership for assigned areas of focus. Lead and facilitate organizational and strategic initiatives including management of site PTO calendar.
  • Services as a liaison between EHC, residency coordinators, and chief resident to coordinate residents’ schedule templates, time off, and make up sessions.
  • Advocate on behalf of providers with departments throughout the organization to share information, identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement, resolve problems, and facilitate achievement of organizational initiatives.
  • Responsible for time keeping data entry for all providers within the primary care Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) division
  • Support the onboarding process of all new primary care providers.
  • Responsible for template schedule builds and maintenance for all providers and residents within the primary care Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) division
  • Coordinates with EPIC Optimizers for provider training.
  • Support revenue efforts through monitoring and analysis of schedule utilization.
  • Provide timely, thorough and well-written or verbal communication to providers, leadership and other stakeholders to enhance partnerships and achieve goals.
  • Partner with Director to establish a portfolio of standard operating data and reports for assigned providers and areas of focus to manage and direct operational performance.
  • Provide independent project management services for identified initiatives within the operations department.
  • Serves as a resource person for staff in regards to policies, procedures associated with areas of focus
  • Collaborates with senior leadership team to determine elements of operations and financial data utilized in assessing operations outcomes.
  • Detailed knowledge of practice workflow processes and ability to recognize needed changes and makes recommendations for change
  • Maintains knowledge of relevant JCAHO and HRSA standards and guidelines as well as clinical standards for federal programs and state licensure agreements. Collaborates in developing and assuring compliance with policies and procedures related to JCAHO, HRSA and other accrediting and licensing agency guidelines and requirements for all services at Health Center.
  • Supports procurement and maintenance of regulatory required documents for provider files.
  • Supports site leadership efforts in finding coverage for providers who are taking time off by submitting in signup genius the open opportunities.
