Job summary

Wiss is launching a new Digital Assurance practice focused on SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations and AI assurance services. The Practice Lead will define the methodology, stand up the team, shape the technology stack, own quality, and grow the book of business with backing from firm leadership and WissLabs, our AI innovation arm.

This is a true build role requiring a licensed CPA with deep tech experience across cloud environments and modern audit tooling, capable of leading engagements end to end and

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required to sign attest reports.
• 10+ years of audit or assurance experience, with SOC 1/2 leadership.
• Deep knowledge of SSAE 18, AT-C, and Trust Services Criteria.
• Strong tech depth across cloud platforms and modern audit tooling.
• Proven leadership in building or growing a service line.

Responsibilities

• Lead SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations end to end with signatory authority.
• Define methodology, engagement workflow, templates, and QA framework.
• Build and staff the practice, including pricing and go-to-market strategy.
• Shape AI-native delivery, applying AI tools to evidence, testing, and reporting.
• Advise executives on control design and remediation while maintaining independence.
• Serve as market face through thought leadership and client relationships.
