Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources seeks a Medical Office Coordinator to join the Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute team. You will greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, verify demographics and insurance, process referrals, and manage front desk operations.

You will also handle charge entries, patient balances, and daily reconciliation, while ensuring accurate medical records and courteous interactions with patients and staff.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of experience in a physician practice preferred.
  • Completion of Medical Office Assistant program preferred.
  • Healthcare management/administration certification preferred.
  • EMR/EHR experience preferred (NextGen or Athena).
  • Proficiency with Windows, Word, Outlook and Internet required.
  • Flexible/adaptive in a complex, matrix environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, answer phones and schedule appointments.
  • Collect accurate patient demographics and verify insurance.
  • Process referrals and manage data entry tasks.
  • Coordinate daily operations of the physician office, including medical records, scheduling, front desk oversight, appointments, and office supply orders.

  • Provide courteous, patient-focused service and explain procedures as needed.
  • Review and manage medical records for accuracy.
  • Coordinate office operations across patient, physician and staff interactions.

Education

High School Diploma/GED
5 years of experience in a Physician Practice
Completion of Medical Office Assistant program
Healthcare management/administration certification
EMR/EHR experience, NextGen or Athena

Job Summary

The Medical Office Coordinator is responsible for greeting patients, answering phones, and scheduling appointments. Coordinates the daily operations of the physician office, including the medical records process, patient and physician scheduling, overseeing the front desk, confirming appointments, and ordering office supplies.   • Coordinates the daily operations of the physician office, including the medical records process, patient and physician scheduling, overseeing the front desk, confirming appointments, and ordering office supplies
Qualifications

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 5 years of experience in a Physician Practice preferred
  • Completion of Medical Office Assistant program preferred
  • Healthcare management/administration certification preferred
