Job summary

Cattaraugus-Allegany-Erie-Wyoming Boces is seeking a Practical Nursing Instructor to prepare students for careers as licensed practical nurses. This role involves developing lesson plans and updating curriculum while providing a sound educational environment for student engagement. Candidates should possess a Master's Degree in Nursing Education or be enrolled in one and must be a New York State Certified Registered Nurse. Teaching experience is preferred. The position offers a ten-month contract with some summer work required for clinical assignments.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Nursing Education or currently enrolled in a Master's Degree in Nursing Education program.
New York State Certified Registered Nurse.
Successful teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop lesson plans, activities, and organize class time to actively engage students.
Update the curriculum including activities, assessments, and clinical objectives.
Assist students in interpreting patients' prescribed therapeutic regimes.
Maintain appropriate records and student evaluations.
Confer with students regarding progress in the program.
Participate in ongoing staff development activities.
Provide a sound educational environment for student engagement.
Use technology effectively for instruction and communication.
Identify pupil needs and cooperate with other professional staff.
Provide individual and group instruction.
