Job description

PR Manager - USA (F/M/NB)

Jimmy Fairly, opticians

Boring? Expensive? Dull? That’s what eyewear used to be.

Jimmy Fairly was born in Paris in 2010 with a mission to shake up the optical world: well-designed, high-quality glasses at fair prices—with a strong commitment to social impact.

Today, we have over 160 stores across Europe and the UK, and we’re growing fast—opening 30 new locations each year. Our model is simple and powerful: fresh collections every six weeks, short‑circuited manufacturing, and a seamless, style‑driven customer journey.

In partnership with Restoring Vision, we donate a pair of glasses for every one sold—because good vision should be a right, not a luxury.

Job Description

Jimmy Fairly is looking for an experienced and driven PR & Influence Manager to lead our US PR efforts, with the role based in New York City.

Reporting to the Global PR Director and working closely with the US PR and Marketing teams, you will play a key role in defining and executing the PR and Influence strategy across the United States. You will drive brand visibility, oversee media and talent engagement, and ensure strong performance tracking and strategic impact across all initiatives.

Your Role

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute high‑impact influencer campaigns in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
  • Oversee influencer requests, product gifting strategy, and sample logistics
  • Build and maintain long‑term ambassador and talent partnerships
  • Lead the planning and execution of PR meetings and key brand moments in the New York store
  • Analyze campaign performance, track KPIs and ROI, and provide strategic recommendations to leadership through weekly and monthly reporting
  • Oversee on‑site coordination and leadership of brand events and activations
Press & Media
  • Define and implement the annual US press strategy, ensuring strong alignment with global communication objectives
  • Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with key editors, journalists, stylists, and media partners
  • Lead press outreach around product launches, collaborations, and brand milestones
  • Oversee the production and quality control of all media assets in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
  • Draft and supervise press releases, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and messaging
  • Proactively manage complex media requests, including product shoots, interviews, and special projects
Reporting
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of content and influencer campaigns to assess impact and ROI and contribute to the preparation of weekly and monthly performance reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Lead the preparation of weekly and monthly performance reports for leadership
  • Manage budgets related to PR and Influence initiatives
  • Mentor and support junior team members when applicable
Your profile

We are seeking a strategic, proactive, and highly organized professional with a strong understanding of the US fashion and lifestyle landscape and an established network in the market.

Key Requirements
  • 4–5 years of proven experience in Public Relations and Influence, either in‑house or at an agency
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategy and managing high‑impact campaigns
  • A well‑established network of content creators, tastemakers, KOLs, journalists, and stylists in the US fashion and lifestyle space
  • Experience managing budgets and external partners
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate performance data into actionable insights
  • Exceptional organizational skills, a rigorous approach, and keen attention to detail
  • A collaborative and proactive attitude with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain long‑term relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment
