Job summary

PR Consulting, based in New York, is seeking an Account Manager for our Culture team to support senior staff across fashion, retail, and sport clients. You will liaise with clients, develop strategy, secure media coverage, and coordinate events and brand activations.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years in PR or brand storytelling, excellent writing and press relationships, and solid knowledge of fashion media. This is a full-time NY-based role reporting to Directors.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years experience in fashion, retail, culture, and/or lifestyle PR.
• Excellent writing and communication skills to convey ideas to clients and media.
• Proven track record of securing top-tier coverage across print, online, broadcast and digital media.

Responsibilities

• Support senior staff in ideation and development of strategy for clients.

The ideal candidate would be joining our dynamic team, and should be enthusiastic, dedicated, and culture obsessed. The Manager will be part of PR Consulting’s team in New York and report directly to the department's Directors.

Job Description

• Support senior staff in the ideation and development of strategy supporting clients’ goals
• Pitch and secure media coverage on client activity across both traditional and new media
• Ideate creative pitch and media angles and concepts
• Manage media requests for editorial opportunities and events - supporting on-site as needed
• Liaise directly with clients and manage day to day account activity
• Create media alerts, releases, and other press collateral
• Plan and execute events and brand activations
• Research and share analysis on top trends within the fashion/culture/sport industries
• Demonstrate strong relationships with target press and influencers
• Build and maintain target media lists, consistently developing new relationships aligned with theever-changing landscape
• Develop influencer seeding strategy and oversee logistics
• Oversee reporting to ensure deliverables are accurate and timely

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-5 years experience, ideally with relevant brands across fashion, retail, culture, and/or lifestyle spaces.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively and concisely communicate ideas to clients, media, senior team members and colleagues
• Strong knowledge of fashion, culture and retail media landscapes
• Proven track record in securing top tier coverage in print, online, broadcast and new media
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively and concisely communicate ideas to clients, media, senior team members and colleagues - strong deck-building and writing skills are essential
• Strong grasp on the digital landscape
• Superior time management skills, ability to work quickly and efficiently, prioritize and multitaskStrong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Salary Range $80,000 - $100,000
