Job summary

Jackson Spalding in Dallas, TX is seeking a Public Relations Intern for Fall 2026 (Sept–Dec 2026). This paid internship offers hands-on experience in an agency environment for rising seniors and recent grads with a passion for communication and marketing.

You'll support planning and execution of PR campaigns, draft and edit press materials, research media contacts, monitor coverage, and assist with events and client briefings. Hybrid schedule with 3 days in office and 2 remote.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Experience with social and traditional media.
• Currently pursuing or recently earned a PR/mass communications/journalism degree.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of integrated PR campaigns for clients.
• Draft, edit, and proofread press materials including releases, media advisories, and story pitches.
• Research media contacts and industry trends to inform outreach strategies.
• Monitor client and competitor coverage, and compile regular media recap reports.
• Assist with event coordination, from logistics and guest lists to on-site support.
• Contribute ideas during team brainstorms and strategy sessions.
• Prepare client-ready materials such as briefing documents, talking points, and presentations.
• Provide general team support to ensure smooth project organization and communication.
