Job summary

Refurbed, a remote-first, Europe-wide marketplace for refurbished products, seeks a maternity-cover PR & Brand Manager. You will own agency relationships across multiple markets, drive pan-European PR coordination and lead brand tracking initiatives.

The role combines cross-functional collaboration with data-driven storytelling and opportunities to shape external communications. You will work across markets from anywhere in Europe, with occasional travel and the Vienna HQ option.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in PR, communications or brand roles with agency partner experience across markets.
• Strong written and spoken English; willingness to work across several European markets.
• Ability to translate data into external-facing stories and work with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day relationships with PR agencies across SE, DK, FI, IE, BE and NL.
• Coordinate monthly editorial meetings across 16 PR agencies/markets.
• Source and analyze internal data; manage the brand tracker and studies.
• Proofread and adapt content for Performance Marketing and CRM teams.
• Plan and manage PR events, partners and post-event reporting.
• Drive cross-functional PR projects across Marketing, Supply and Data teams.

As our PR & Brand Manager (Maternity Cover), you’ll own the day-to-day relationship with our PR agencies across six markets, drive pan-European PR coordination across all our markets, and lead our brand tracking and PR research initiatives. Reporting to our Lead Brand Communications, you’ll be the go-to person for PR excellence, working cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply, Data and other teams to bring refurbed ’s brand story to life across Europe. This is a fixed-term, 18-month contract covering a maternity leave.

WHO YOU ARE:

You have 2-4 years of experience in PR, communications or brand roles, including experience owning relationships with PR agencies or external partners across multiple markets. You have highly professional written and spoken English, plus fluency in another major European language (Swedish is a strong plus, given the content and market responsibilities of this role). You can be based remotely anywhere in Europe; occasional travel to our markets and events is part of the role. Our Vienna HQ is available if you’d prefer to be based there. You take ownership end-to-end: you’re used to running a project or subarea on your own, and you don’t wait to be told what’s next — you spot gaps, improve ways of working, and raise the quality of what’s around you. You build strong cross-functional relationships; people come to you for PR and brand input because they trust your judgment and expertise. You’re highly organized and comfortable juggling multiple markets, agencies and stakeholders without losing sight of deadlines. You have a strong feel for written language and tone, and experience translating data and company priorities into external-facing stories. You have experience working with AI tools and are open to learning more about implementing AI into your daily work You’re passionate about sustainability, innovation and creating real impact.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

PR Agency & Market Management:

Own the day-to-day relationship with PR agencies across SE, DK, FI, IE, BE and NL, including briefing, approving PR materials, developing local angles and following up on performance/KPIs. Act as the main internal point of contact for these markets, ensuring agencies have the information, data and materials they need.

Pan-European PR Coordination:

Own and host the monthly editorial meeting across 16 PR agencies/markets, including agenda, preparation, follow-up and continuous improvement of the format. Drive cross-market sharing of PR ideas, opportunities and best practices. Manage the press pages across all markets, ensuring the latest press releases and relevant content are published and kept up to date.

Data, Research & Brand Tracking:

Source and analyse internal data for PR stories, identify relevant trends and coordinate internal data validation. Own the refurbed brand tracker, including planning waves, managing research, setting up surveys and reporting results. Manage PR consumer studies across markets, coordinating agency input, developing and delivering results and insights.

Content & Language Support:

Proofread and adapt content for Performance Marketing, CRM and other teams. Review and approve UGC/performance content.

Events & Activations:

Plan and manage PR and influencer events, including concept, budget, agency coordination, internal stakeholders, products and logistics. Represent refurbed at events, including presentations/keynotes, and manage post-event reporting.

PR Project & Stakeholder Management:

Manage PR projects from idea to execution, translating company priorities, data and initiatives into relevant external communications. Coordinate across PR agencies and internal teams including Marketing, Supply, Data and other stakeholders to ensure effective execution.
