Job summary

HNI Corporation is seeking a Public Relations Intern to join the Brand Marketing team in Muscatine, IA for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience across media relations, press releases, product launch PR, and events while contributing to real projects.

This paid internship offers mentorship, leadership exposure, and professional development through Lunch and Learns, training, and workshops, with potential hybrid scheduling and company-paid housing based on need.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be working toward a bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, mass communications, communications, marketing or a related field. Junior-level coursework is preferred.
• Minimum 2.8 GPA
• Basic understanding of public relations, including media relations, press release writing and tailoring messages for different audiences
• Relevant coursework, internship experience or involvement in communications-related activities preferred

Responsibilities

• You'll support media relations, press releases, product launch PR, media research and monitoring, and branded events.
• You will work on one or more projects to create value for business partners and gain hands-on experience.
• Role may include mentorship, leadership exposure, and participation in Lunch and Learns, training, and skill-building workshops
