Job summary

MOR PPM, Inc. in Aiken, SC is seeking Welder/Fabricators to read blueprints, weld using MIG/TIG/STICK, and assemble tire manufacturing equipment. You will repair equipment, diagnose faults, and operate lifts and cranes to install components in a heavy industrial setting.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years welding/fabricating experience, ability to read mechanical drawings, and a valid driver’s license. Proficiency with GTAW/GMAW/FCAW and acetylene welding is a plus in this role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience welding/fabricating is required.
• Pipe fitting experience preferred.
• Technical training preferred but not required.
• Read blueprints, mechanical drawings; valid driver’s license.

• Basic set of hand tools and ability to operate power tools.

Job Summary

MOR PPM Inc. is seeking Welder/Fabricators in Aiken, SC.

• Operate lifts and cranes to install equipment and components

Experience

2+ years experience welding/fabricating is required. 2 years industrial maintenance experience, preferred. Technical training preferred but not required. Pipe fitting experience preferred.

Qualifications & Skills

• Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing) accurately and concisely on technical matters
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings
• Valid drivers license
• Proficient in GTAW/GMAW/FCAW and acetylene welding
• Basic set of hand tools is required
• Ability to proficiently operate power tools used for metal fabrication
• Ability to work at heights and manipulate tools in small spaces
• Interpersonal skills such as oral, verbal and written communication and reasoning is required.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements

• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
• Must be able to move in and around confided spaces and uneven areas
• Must have full range of motion consistent with age
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
• Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
• Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
