Job summary

EMCOR Group in Grand Island, NE seeks an experienced Pipe Fitter for layout, fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of piping systems, structural steel, vessels, pumps and equipment in an industrial setting.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with stainless steel and carbon steel, be able to take measurements, and operate power tools. Safety, reliability, and attendance are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• At least three years pipefitter experience in an industrial construction setting.
• Committed to safety at all times.
• Excellent attendance.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.

• Layout, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms in a steam boiler environment.
• Use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

• Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
• Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
• Must have full range of motion consistent with age
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
• Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
• Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
