Job summary

MOR PPM, Inc. in Aiken, SC is seeking a Maintenance Tech to perform semiskilled trades for the Bridgestone tire plant. You will support maintenance, fabrication, welding, installation and repair of tire manufacturing equipment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience, welding skills, and familiarity with mobile powered equipment such as aerial lifts and forklifts. This is an onsite full-time role with hands-on problem solving.

Job Summary

MOR PPM Inc. is looking for a maintenance tech in Aiken, SC.The Maintenance Tech will perform a variety of semiskilled trades for the maintenance support of the Bridgestone tire plant.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• A Maintenance Tech will perform as a skilled team member in the continuous improvement of maintenance, fabrication, welding, installation, and repair of tire manufacturing equipment and components.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• Welding Experience
• Industrial maintenance experience a plus
• Technical school training a plus
• Familiarity with mobile powered equipment like aerial lifts, forklifts, cranes preferred

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

• Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
• Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
• Must have full range of motion consistent with age
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
• Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
• Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
