Job Summary

MOR PPM Inc. is looking for a Helper in Skippers, VA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Identify all tools required for tasks.
Operate machinery as qualified.
Load/unload and place materials needed.
Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
Assist journeyman in daily tasks and work orders.
Assist on any miscellaneous construction processes.
Clean up work areas.

Qualifications

Knowledge on materials, tools, and processes involved with basic building techniques and form construction.
Reliable transportation.
Willingness to work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations.
At least 6 months as an industrial helper in an industrial construction environment. Prefer helpers with 2 years or more experience in pulp and paper or manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands

Complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign.
Complete Tappisafe online training.
May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above.
Move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas.
Have full range of motion consistent with age.
Be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders.
Be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises.
Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces.
Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
