Job summary

PPG is seeking a Medical Assistant to support daily clinical and clerical operations at our Angola, IN location. The role requires certification eligibility and CMA/medical assistant credentials, with CPR training preferred.

The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, familiarity with EMR systems, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. On-site duties include hospital/clinic support and patient care coordination.

Qualifications

• Must have CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or CMAC certification; CPR required.
• Must have completed a medical assistant program that meets certification eligibility requirements.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience as medical assistant or in a physician office preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication; basic computer and EMR skills; ability to lift 25 pounds.

This position is eligible for a $2,000 – 4,000 sign-on bonus

Summary

Responsible for assisting with daily clinical and clerical operations of the assigned physician practice(s). Works in collaboration with physician team to provide quality care to patients and quality support to providers through consistent communication.

Qualifications

Education

Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED. Must have completed a medical assistant program that meets certification eligibility requirements.

Licensure/Certification

Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through American Medical Certification Association (AMCA). CPR required.

Experience

Medical assistant or physician office experience preferred.

Other Qualifications

Must have solid verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations, service excellence, clinical quality initiatives preferred. Must be familiar with computers, electronic medical record experience preferred. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
