Job summary

Mechanix Wear seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the quality function for PPE apparel operations at our Kansas City distribution center. You will own the QMS, manage a team of quality specialists, drive root-cause analysis, and partner with Product Development to ensure quality from design through production.

The role requires 5+ years in quality assurance, strong data analysis, and experience with PPE standards (ANSI/ISEA, NFPA, ASTM).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive quality assurance experience, including supervisory experience.
• Experience in apparel/PPE or technical manufacturing environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PPE quality standards (ANSI/ISEA, NFPA, ASTM, CE).
• Experience with ISO 9001 QA systems, internal/external audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Quality Assurance Specialists/Inspectors across warehouse/distribution.
• Own root-cause analysis and CAPA processes for defects and quality issues.
• Analyze quality data and trends; lead cross-functional problem-solving with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
• Partner with Product Development/Engineering on NPI to ensure manufacturability and quality from design.
• Maintain inspection records and ensure PPE certification requirements are met.
