Job summary

Verisk Analytics is seeking a PPC Field Representative to act as a trusted consultant, evaluating community fire protection capabilities to support PPC classifications. You will gather data on emergency communications, water infrastructure, and building characteristics, ensuring alignment with PPC criteria.

The role involves onsite and remote assessments, travel to client locations, and producing detailed reports to help insurers and communities manage risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science, Engineering, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field.
• Experience with fire protection systems, municipal services, water systems, or insurance risk assessment preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear reports.
• Proficiency with data collection tools, mapping systems, and standard software.
• Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Consult with municipal officials, fire departments, and water authorities to collect and validate PPC data.
• Perform onsite field analyses and remote assessments of community fire protection systems.
• Analyze emergency communications resources and PPC related procedures.
• Evaluate fire department equipment, staffing, training, and resource distribution.
• Assess water supply networks, hydrants, and hydraulic analysis for fire flow capacity.
• Document findings in detailed PPC reports meeting quality standards.
• Gather building data and property characteristics relevant to PPC requirements.
