Vern Eide Motoplex and Powerhouse in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a Motorcycle and Powersports Service Set Up Technician. You will diagnose, assemble, install accessories, and prep units for delivery, ensuring quality and safety.

The role requires attention to detail, reliable time management, and the ability to follow manufacturer procedures. We offer a competitive hourly wage starting at $15/hour with $5 per labor hour, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Motorcycle and powersports or auto repair experience or training.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Team player focused on customer service.
• Must have own tools.
• ASE and manufacturer certification desired, not required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license with motorcycle endorsement.
• Able to pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and prep new powersport units for delivery.
• Perform pre-delivery inspections and setup per specs.
• Install accessories and aftermarket components.
• Complete assembly of handlebars, controls, wheels, racks, windshields, etc.
• Check fluids, tires, controls, cables, belts, and components.
• Install batteries and verify electrical operation.
• Inspect for damage or missing parts and report issues.
• Ensure brakes, throttle, steering, suspension and safety systems work.
• Maintain records of setup and inspection procedures.
• Follow service manuals and safety procedures.
• Keep work area clean and safe; care for tools.
• Assist service and sales with prep and delivery deadlines.
