Job summary

Fox Powersports Grand Rapids is seeking a motivated Powersports Service Technician to join our growing Service Department. You will diagnose, service, maintain, and repair a variety of powersports vehicles in a professional dealership setting.

Both experienced technicians and recent graduates are encouraged to apply as we provide training and certification opportunities. Ideal candidates bring strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Prior powersports technician experience or recent graduates of a powersports program.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to diagnose problems and determine repairs.
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, fuel, suspension, brake, and other vehicle systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and scheduled services.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
• Document work performed on repair orders.
• Communicate findings and repair needs with the Service Advisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Use and maintain shop tools and equipment.
• Stay current with service procedures, technology, and updates.
• Participate in manufacturer training and certification programs.
• Perform warranty and recall repairs as needed.
• Work efficiently with high quality and attention to detail.

Fox Powersports is looking for a motivated and skilled Powersports Service Technician to join our growing Service Department!

We are looking for candidates with prior powersports technician experience or recent graduates of a motorcycle/powersports technician program who are ready to put their skills to work in a professional dealership environment.

Whether you have years of experience or are a recent graduate looking to establish your career, we are willing to provide additional manufacturer training, technical training, and certification opportunities to help you continue developing your skills.

What You'll Do

As a Powersports Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of powersports vehicles. Responsibilities may include:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, fuel, suspension, brake, and other vehicle systems
• Perform routine maintenance and scheduled services
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
• Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards
• Accurately document work performed on repair orders
• Communicate technical findings and repair needs with the Service Advisor
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Properly use and maintain shop tools and equipment
• Stay current with manufacturer service procedures, technology, and technical updates
• Participate in manufacturer training and certification programs
• Perform warranty and recall repairs as needed
• Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail

What We're Looking For

Ideal candidates will have:

• Prior experience as a powersports, motorcycle, ATV/UTV, marine, or similar technician OR
• Recent graduation from an accredited motorcycle/powersports technician training program
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• The ability to diagnose problems and determine appropriate repairs
• Attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
• A willingness to learn and continue developing your technical skills
• The ability to work independently as well as as part of a team
• A professional attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliable attendance and a commitment to getting the job done right
• A valid 'driver's license and acceptable driving record

Manufacturer-specific experience and certifications are a plus, but not required.
