Job summary

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations is seeking a Powerhouse Engineering Technician for its Warren County, TN plant. You will support the powerhouse by operating, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment such as boilers, air compressors, generators, motors, turbines, and related systems.

The facility produces trucks and tires with a large team of technicians and engineers. Starting pay is $35.91 per hour; top rate is $42.75 per hour, with a night shift premium of $1.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school degree; or 1-2 year vocational training / associates degree

Responsibilities

• Observes meters and gauges to determine operating conditions and makes adjustments or repairs as necessary
• Keeps clerical records such as temperatures, hours of operation, fuel consumed, and gas analyses
• Operates, maintains and follows safety regulations for boilers and equipment
• Performs startup and shutdown of plant systems
• Inspects, repairs pumps, including coupling and alignment
• Repairs valves and replaces piping and gaskets on Main Utility Piping
• Maintains all service equipment as required or assigned
• Take chemical samples, run chemical tests, and service all steam and water chemical treatment systems
