Job summary

State of VA is seeking a PowerBuilder/.Net Developer to back up banking applications and translate requirements into solid database and program solutions. The role requires independent work and collaboration with SCC staff, with on-site three days per week (T, W, TH).

The candidate will maintain FIIS and related .NET applications, adhere to coding standards, and document all work for turnover. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• PowerBuilder/Infomaker experience required.
• Web site maintenance using ASP.NET, MVC, Web Forms, Blazor.
• Proficiency with Visual Studio and HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Experience with WEB API using C#, EF, LINQ and Oracle/SQL Server.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex system administration and maintenance for production systems.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Support FIIS and .Net applications; translate requirements into solutions.
• Respond to alerts, analyze issues, and document findings.

Title: SCC - Powerbuilder/.Net Developer (811010)

Location: 1300 E Main Street Web Cam Interview Only

Hybrid SCC - Powerbuilder/.Net developer ON SITE REQ: three days in office. T, W, TH each week required.

Contractor will be expected to be on site 3 days of the week T, W, Thurs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This Powerbuilder/.Net devloper position will serve as backup support on the Banking application. The individual in this position will assist with translating formal requirements documentation into database and program solutions. Ideal candidates will be able to work independently and as a team. The ability to adapt to change and communicate effectively with customers and coworkers is essential. Comply with all system development policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines, including coding standards and reviews. Fully document work performed and provide technology turnover on all work performed to other SCC staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs complex system administration, maintenance and support for production systems.
• Develops and maintains technical documentation.
• The individual will be primarily supporting the FIIS application which is written in PowerBuilder.They also will provide to support to other applications that are written in .Net.
• Performing system administration, maintenance, and support.
• Responding to system alerts and user events; making recommendations; and documenting findings.
• Designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, and implementing programs and systems.
• Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
• Performing related work as required.
