Client is looking for a resource who will be responsible for developing model-driven PowerApps and canvas apps.

Complete Description

The Client is the central technology organization of the District of Columbia Government. This position will support the Agency IT Financial group building PowerApps solutions to help manage contracts, licensing and hardware solutions for client.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance PowerApps model-driven and canvas applications.
• Rewrite and re-engineer custom legacy applications using Power Platform solutions.
• Integrate Power Platform applications with third‑party applications using Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Logic Apps and Dataverse APIs.
• Design, document, build, deploy Power Apps, Power Automate flows and Power BI reports.
• Identify, develop and deploy reports in Power BI; produce complex reports and integrate them into PowerApps.
• Implement DevOps processes and build–test–release pipelines.
• Develop logic apps with middleware automation using Power Automate.
• Write D365 plugins, workflows and Power Automate flows.
• Create new data integrations from internal and external data sources using APIs or ETL tools.
• Provide ongoing support of custom applications and solutions within Microsoft Dynamics.
• Code and perform unit tests for routines and procedures.
• Integrate code into repositories for deployment.
• Serve as Power Platform subject‑matter expert, providing full‑lifecycle ownership.
• Maintain existing applications through performance improvements, bug fixes and new functionalities.
• Participate in code‑review sessions, explaining technical approaches.
• Lead the adoption or implementation of advanced technology or platforms and guide efficient use.
• Create implementation, testing and integration plans.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in software development and/or data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud, MS Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI).
• Experience configuring, customizing and scripting PowerApps.
• Advanced knowledge of Transact‑SQL and MS SQL Server Management Studio.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail; self‑motivated.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field.
• Relevant Microsoft certification (PL‑400/PL‑600 or similar).
• 3–5 years experience defining requirements, setting integration standards, and developing applications using Microsoft Power Platform.
• Knowledge of C#, PowerShell, TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with Azure services (Functions, Queue, Service Bus, Azure DevOps).
• Experience developing Dataverse or similar databases and working with large datasets.
• Experience consuming data via RESTful APIs and managing JSON data transfer.
• Proven track record building D365 plugins, workflows and Power Automate flows.
• Experience developing web services and APIs, and related architecture.
• Experience leading advanced technology projects and full system engineering lifecycle.
