Job summary

Lutech Resources is seeking a Transmission Associate to support North American interconnection projects, reviewing system impact and facility studies and assisting through the interconnection process. You will respond to deficiencies in technical modeling (PSSE, PSCAD, Short Circuit) and run powerflow studies to support greenfield development and minimize risks for the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years in the utility industry with generation interconnection experience.
• Knowledge of PSSE and Power Flow software.
• Programming skills in Python, Java, SQL.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Work with RTOs/ISOs and utilities to advance Generation Queue through interconnection.
• Review interconnection studies and brief Development on costs and next steps.
• Respond to deficiencies related to PSSE, Power Flow, and related modeling.
• Run powerflow studies to mimic interconnection study results.
• Track timelines and milestones for the interconnection process.
• Collaborate with project developers to ensure project support and access.
