Shermco Industries in Irving, Texas offers a 12-week SkillBridge internship for aspiring electrical engineers to gain hands-on experience in electrical design, power studies, and analysis. You will work with engineering and Field Services teams on short-circuit studies, power factor and harmonic analyses, and power system modeling, preparing reviews for customers.

The program includes field exposure during shutdowns and startups, with opportunities to explore a civilian career in power systems

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; focus in power systems preferred.
2+ years of applicable experience preferred.
Experience with SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EZPower, or similar software.
Knowledge of up to 500 kV power systems.
Strong English communication skills.

Mansioni

Support short-circuit, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies.
Assist with power factor analysis, harmonic modeling and analysis, and grounding analysis.
Use power system modeling software to support engineering studies and design reviews.
Participate in customer discussions to gather project information and review engineering plans.
Gain field exposure with the Field Services team during shutdown, startup, and maintenance projects.
