Job summary

ETAP in Irvine, CA is seeking a Power System Engineer to join the Software Deployment and Operations Division. You will support deployment, testing, automation, and technical support for ETAP software, blending electrical engineering with software troubleshooting.

The role requires solid electrical engineering fundamentals, hands-on debugging, and the ability to work across languages and databases. You will install and configure environments, troubleshoot issues, develop test procedures, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles for power systems.
Experience troubleshooting network and software environment issues.
Familiarity with Windows OS (10/11) and database systems (SQL Server CE, SQLite).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SQL, and Python.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency/work authorization.

Responsibilities

Support installation, licensing, and configuration of ETAP software environments.
Troubleshoot network communication and software deployment issues.
Develop and execute manual and automated test procedures for ETAP features.
Identify, log, and validate software defects and enhancements.
Assist with multi-language deployment environments and system setup.
Provide technical support and respond to customer inquiries.
Collaborate with engineering teams and report project status.
