Shermco is seeking a New Grad Electrical Engineer - Power Studies, Associate to join our team in the United States. You will perform power studies, assist with protection relays, harmonic modeling, and arc-flash analyses on domestic and international projects under mentorship.

This entry-level role emphasizes hands-on field work, training, and collaboration with field service technicians to support outages, testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a graduation date on or before December 2025.
• Willingness to be hands-on and work in the field alongside field technicians.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and power system modeling software is a plus.
• Clear English communication, both verbal and written, with customers and co-workers.
• Knowledge of protective relay projects, short-circuit, coordination, arc-flash, and power quality studies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering studies including power factor analysis, harmonic modeling, grounding analysis, short-circuits, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies for domestic and international projects.
• Provide engineering design, analysis, and studies; design and troubleshoot protective relaying and controls.
• Occasionally work with Field Services on shutdowns, startups, installations, and maintenance projects.
• Interact with customers to gather information, review plans, and maintain professional relationships.
• Be hands-on with the engineering and field service group.
