Job summary

Knobelsdorff Enterprises is seeking an electrical engineering student to contribute to design and optimization of power systems on real-world projects. You’ll gain hands-on experience while supporting engineering teams through concept, design, and implementation phases.

The candidate will work with power system analysis tools and learn industry standards, codes, and best practices. On-site field support and travel may be required as projects progress.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Exposure to electrical power systems design and analysis.
  • Familiarity with power system analysis software such as SKM, EasyPower, ETAP, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a project-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical power systems that meet project requirements, industry standards, and applicable codes.
  • Perform power system studies and simulations to analyze performance, identify issues, and implement optimizations.
  • Support or lead power system projects through all phases, from concept and design to implementation and commissioning.
  • Prepare technical documentation including specifications, calculations, reports, and design drawings.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, field teams, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support testing and commissioning activities, providing both on-site field support with travel and remote technical assistance.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Job Description

  • Coursework, project experience, or exposure to electrical power systems design and analysis.
  • Familiarity with power system analysis software such as SKM, EasyPower, ETAP, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a project‑driven environment.
Additional Information

Pay Range

We believe in paying for the value you bring to the team, and we aim to be competitive in every market we hire in.
Pay Range: $20-25 per hour
