Job summary

OmniOn Power is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for the Systems development group in Plano, TX, with 1–3 years of electrical design experience. The role focuses on developing electrical components and technologies for new power products and improving existing ones.

Collaboration with mechanical, manufacturing, marketing, purchasing, and lab teams is essential. The candidate should communicate effectively verbally and in written reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 1–3 years of engineering experience in electrical design.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products including schematics, documentation, testing and characterization in the lab.
• Ensure designs meet time-to-market and target cost requirements.
• Create part/module/assembly definitions with schematics and PCB layouts for backplanes and related boards.
• Create schematics using Allegro Concept and validate PCB layouts.
• Mitigate EMC of DC Power System designs through filter design and proper PCB routing.
