Avangrid is seeking a Power System Engineer to help ensure reliability and modernization of its transmission and distribution networks across multiple locations in NY and New England. The role includes work in planning, interconnection, modeling, and project execution.

Positions range from Associate to Principal Engineer, with clearly defined education and experience requirements and opportunities in asset management, grid operations support, and protection & control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
• BS required with 2+ years of industry experience for Associate Engineer.
• BS with 5+ years for Senior Engineer.
• BS with 7+ years plus advanced degrees/certifications for Lead Engineer.
• BS with 10+ years plus advanced degrees/certifications for Principal Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Support reliability, safety, and modernization of electric transmission and distribution networks.
• Contribute to Distribution and Transmission Planning and Interconnection studies.
• Model power systems, manage projects, and support grid operations (Protection & Control).
