Job summary

Job description

Proman Staffing USA is partnering with an international client to hire a Sr. Power Systems Engineer in Round Rock, TX. This is a direct hire opportunity.

Base pay range: $100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

What You’ll Do

• Lead concept development and one-line designs for power distribution and protection systems (480 V to 161 kV).
• Ensure safe, reliable, and code-compliant architecture from utility interface to IT loads.
• Provide PE stamp as required.
• Perform system studies: load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and protection.
• Define ratings, configurations, and protection schemes for HV/MV/LV equipment, UPS systems, generators, and more.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for performance, safety, and cost.
• Support factory testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: BS in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years in power system design; data center experience a plus.
• Hands‑on with ETAP, SKM, or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and IEEE standards.
• Familiarity with MV gear, generator paralleling, and microgrid concepts preferred.
• License: Texas PE or ability to obtain within 12 months.
