ITG Communication is hiring for Power Supply Technician in Hendersonville, TN
Purpose: The Power Supply Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of power supplies that support the HFC and broadband network. This role ensures that all power supply locations remain safely energized, compliant with utility standards, and functioning at optimal performance to support reliable field operations. The technician also performs aerial work, emergency restoration, and collaborates with utility providers as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Install, upgrade, maintain, and repair power supplies and related equipment.
  • Perform cable runs to and from power supply locations, including aerial and underground.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on power supplies.
  • Complete aerial line work and maintenance tasks in accordance with safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure all installations and repairs meet company, utility, and industry specifications.
  • Assist with coordination and communication between the company and local utility providers.
  • Support field teams with overflow work, emergency response, and restoration activities.
  • Operate heavy equipment when required (e.g., backhoe).
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and system updates.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety protocols, and PPE requirements.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, including nights, weekends, and emergency situations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in cable, electrical, utility, or telecom field preferred
  • Prior experience with power supplies, HFC plant, or commercial electrical systems strongly preferred
  • CDL preferred (not required)
  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as a backhoe preferred

Exposure:

  • Frequent work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Work at heights on poles and ladders
  • Work near energized equipment and traffic
  • Heavy equipment operation
  • On-call rotation, nights, weekends, and emergency response
  • Interaction with utility representatives, field supervisors, and internal crews
