Job description

About the Role

My client is looking for a Power Platform Developer & Architect to join their team. This is not a role for someone who has built one or two apps to solve a local data problem. They need a dedicated platform professional who has grown their career inside the Power Platform ecosystem and can manage, govern, and scale an enterprise-wide portfolio.

They will be responsible for a portfolio of 100+ active enterprise workflows and 20+ applications across multiple departments. You will own the platform administration, governance model, and Application Lifecycle Management framework — not just the individual apps built on top of it. If your career has been rooted in Power Platform engineering and system architecture — not data or systems analysis — let's talk!

This role is based in one of their offices: Charlotte, NC | Summerville, SC | Houston, TX | Baton Rouge, LA. The client is asking for full on-site presence initially to build trust and relationships, with the potential for a hybrid schedule over time.

What You'll Do
  • Own and manage a portfolio of 100+ active enterprise Power Automate workflows and 20+ Power Apps across multiple departments and business units
  • Build Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps from scratch — hands‑on development, not oversight or delegation
  • Design and implement environment security, governance models, and DLP policies at an enterprise scale
  • Manage Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) across the Power Platform — deployment pipelines, solution layering, environment strategy, and release management
  • Establish and enforce platform best practices including app coauthoring standards, connector governance, and performance optimization
  • Navigate Power Platform limitations and known bugs — designing around them proactively rather than discovering them in production
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to gather requirements, design solutions, and communicate technical decisions clearly
  • Support and mentor other team members on Power Platform standards and development practices
  • Stay current on the Microsoft Power Platform roadmap and proactively identify opportunities to improve the platform environment
Required Qualifications
  • Career progression rooted in Power Platform engineering — not software development, data analysis, or systems analysis
  • Deep, hands‑on experience building Canvas Apps and Model‑Driven Apps in production enterprise environments
  • Strong Power Automate experience — complex, multi‑step enterprise workflows at scale
  • Proven experience with Power Platform administration — environment management, DLP policies, connector governance, and tenant‑level security
  • Hands‑on experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) — deployment pipelines, solution management, and environment strategy
  • Understanding of platform best practices, app coauthoring, and Power Platform limitations at an enterprise scale
  • Strong communication skills — comfortable speaking with both internal team members and external clients
  • No sponsorship available — must be authorized to work in the United States
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Dataverse — table design, relationships, and security roles
  • Familiarity with Power Pages or Power BI as part of the broader Power Platform ecosystem
  • Experience working on a dedicated Power Platform team within a mid‑to‑large organization
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL‑200, PL‑400, or equivalent)
Why Join
  • People‑first culture — family‑owned with client relationships that have lasted decades; our people genuinely look forward to coming to work
  • Flexibility built on trust — once established, enjoy a 4×9 schedule with a half day on Fridays, plus the understanding that life happens
  • Real growth opportunity; many of our team members have grown into VP‑level roles
  • Growing Power Platform team — you will be joining a team of Power Platform professionals within a broader IT team, with room to shape the platform's direction
  • Competitive compensation
  • Relocation support may be available for the right candidate
