Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a software engineer with advanced specialization in Power Platform engineering and operational support. You will design, develop, and support Power Platform solutions—Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Copilot Studio—while contributing to the reliability of Azure-based cloud services.

You will take operational ownership of supported platforms, help resolve incidents, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 4+ years of experience.
Experience writing code for online applications or deployment automation.
Experience with programming languages for online applications, microservices or deployment automation.
Experience designing/building moderately complex applications.
Experience writing automated test scripts.
Experience creating coding/scripting solutions to fix complex problems/issues.
Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes.
Experience engaging with executive level.
Experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
At least 2 years of direct leadership or cross-functional team leadership.

Responsibilities

Plans, designs, develops, and supports software systems and platform solutions, including Power Platform applications and cloud-based services.
Designs, builds, and supports Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven), Power Automate (Cloud and Desktop), and Dataverse; administer and support environment.
Troubleshoots and resolves production issues across Power Platform solutions, including apps, automations, integrations, and data models.
Supports application lifecycle management (ALM) practices, including packaging, deployment, and environment governance.
Implements and maintains security, data integrity, and compliance standards.
Contributes to Azure cloud platform reliability by troubleshooting infra and platform issues.
Participates in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.
Works with observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace) to identify performance issues.
Supports IaC and automation using Terraform and Ansible.
Collaborates with development and product teams to support deployments and improve resilience.
Owns operational responsibilities and defines service-level objectives (SLOs).
Breaks down complex work into actionable tasks and tracks progress.
Reviews code, contributes to technical design, and guides engineering standards.
Mentors less experienced engineers and shares knowledge across the team.
Resolves issues creatively and anticipates risks.
