Job summary

Universities of Wisconsin is seeking an Automation Solutions Engineer/Power Platform Developer to design and implement automation workflows, develop PowerApps and Power Automate flows, and lead automation initiatives across departments.

You will connect data from Oracle, MariaDB, RedShift, Dataverse, and SharePoint, develop reliable business logic, and document architectures. This role requires collaboration with IT, HR, and finance and acts as a technical lead for key system components.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing Power Apps and Power Automate solutions.
• Experience across the platform (PowerApps Canvas, Model Driven Apps, Power Automate flows).
• Experience designing business processes and integrations between Microsoft and other applications.
• Experience with SQL and Azure cloud services.
• Extensive experience using Power BI and Power Apps.
• Experience with M, DAX and SQL; ETL design, analytics and reporting.
• Experience with developing and using data models; knowledge of RESTful APIs.
• Experience with data development and reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Develop PowerApps and Power Automate solutions that meet business requirements and remain flexible.
• Connect data from sources such as Oracle, MariaDB, RedShift, Dataverse, and SharePoint.
• Design, implement, test, troubleshoot and maintain complex business logic and workflows using Power Automate.
• Communicate with nontechnical users to translate requests into requirements for automations and BI solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for Power Automate Flows or similar software.
• Detail-oriented mindset and ability to troubleshoot data integrity issues.
• Manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities as communicated by divisions.
• Serve as technical lead for one or more aspects of the system.
• Analyze requirements and coordinate with staff and stakeholders.
• Develop, program, and deploy automation workflows for deployment, configuration, and monitoring.
• Maintain automation tools and infrastructure, including security configurations.
• Perform integration, migration, configuration, and security of apps into automated infrastructures with other campus units.
• Provide guidance and training to staff as a subject matter expert.
