Job summary

Delta Solutions & Strategies in Denver, Colorado seeks a Power Production Technician to join our team. You will operate power plant switchgear, start/stop diesel generators, and manage transfers between power sources to ensure reliable distribution of electricity for mission-critical systems.

Expect to monitor UPS systems, follow OEM and procedures, perform preventive maintenance, and work with DoD standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in power production and electrical power systems.
• Strong Knowledge of diesel generator operation, switchgear, and voltage regulation.
• Experience with UPS systems supporting critical data processing equipment.
• Familiarity with OEM, commercial, and internal procedures for maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operates electrical power plant AC and DC switchgear to control and distribute electrical power.
• Start, stop, synchronize, and parallel diesel generators and transfers between power sources.
• Monitor and operate 14 UPS systems for sensitive data processing equipment.
• Inspect, repair, and overhaul generators, diesel engines, switchgear and related equipment.
