Job summary

TDX Adak Generating (TAG) is seeking a Power Plant Operator to oversee the Adak power plant operations and coordinate daily maintenance, repairs, and materials. You will work under the Utility Operations Manager to ensure efficient performance, safety, and budget compliance.

The role requires knowledge of electrical distribution and diesel generation, the ability to read schematics, and the capacity to manage multiple projects while maintaining high customer service standards in a remote Alaskan

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent plus technical training or 18 months related experience.
• Experience in remote monitoring or similar activity.
• Understanding of electrical distribution and diesel generation operations.
• Ability to read schematics and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all aspects of the Adak power plant.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs, materials and equipment.
• Monitor plant operation to stay within budget and quality standards.
• Procure parts and supplies for the project.
• Respond to emergencies and manage special support work.
• Operate and maintain a Maintenance Management System and data reporting.
