Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform routine maintenance and repair on plant facilities and equipment. You will participate in the Plant Maintenance Program, maintain records, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of power plant experience or an associate degree, with strong mechanical and electrical skills, and a commitment to safety. This on-site role includes rotating shifts and adherence to DOT-related requirements.

Qualifications

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on plant equipment and systems.
• Collect and review trending information for maintenance planning.
• Maintain accurate equipment records and spare parts inventory.
• Follow safety procedures and environmental permits.

Responsibilities

• Participate in preventive maintenance and repairs on plant facilities.
• Inspect and repair turbines, heat exchangers, pumps, and valves.
• Assemble, disassemble, and align rotating equipment.
• Create, update, and maintain plant records using SAP.
