Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking an Instrument & Control Tech TA at our Platteville, CO location. The role involves installing, calibrating, testing and repairing power plant instrumentation and process controls, including CEMS, while leading the CEMS program at the plant.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a two-year electronics/instrumentation certificate, NICET II or equivalent, and multiple years of instrumentation experience in a power-plant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year certificate in electronics or instrumentation or equivalent training/experience.
• NICET Level II certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, calibration, testing, troubleshooting and repair of instrumentation and control systems (including CEMS).
• Lead and maintain the CEMS program at the plant.
• Submit records in support of regulatory requirements and plant operations.
• Initiate purchase requisitions and maintain accurate records.
• Upgrade equipment/systems with latest technology for plant optimization.
• Train apprentices.
