Job summary

Arizona Public Service Company is seeking an E&I Journeyman for our West Phoenix Power Plant to support safe, efficient electrical and instrumentation maintenance. You will read work orders, troubleshoot equipment, and document maintenance activity while ensuring compliance with safety and project standards.

The role requires an E&I Apprenticeship or Journeyman qualification, and you may work a 12-hour rotating shift under the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• Must qualify as Electrical & Instrumentation Journeyman or equivalent (as per job).
• Must live within one hour of Headquarters.
• Pass APS aptitude and qualifying skills tests (written/hands-on).
• Overtime and shift work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders, manuals, schematics, and diagrams to perform tasks.
• Enter maintenance data in the maintenance computer system.
• Inspect and test electrical/instrumentation equipment and analyze test data.
• Install, calibrate and troubleshoot control systems, breakers, relays, and associated equipment.
