Job summary

Zachry Group in Louisiana is seeking a frontline AHelper to support construction work at a power plant. You will assist with moving equipment, digging, and other tasks as directed by a supervisor or journeyman to keep operations safe and efficient.

Strong attention to safety and the ability to use hand and power tools, climb scaffolding, and work in varying weather are required. This role demands physical stamina and reliability for 5-day work weeks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to meet all physical demands.
• Experience using industrial hand tools and power tools.
• Reliable transportation and be able to work 5 days as needed.

Responsibilities

• Position may perform a large range of manual activities including but not limited to moving equipment, digging, retrieving equipment, standing by for fire safety, and any other work instructed by a supervisor or a journeyman.
• Use fire extinguisher .
• Climb on to structures and Scaffolding.
• Uses rigging and hoisting devices such as chokers, chain falls andcome alongs to move equipment / materials into place
• Conducts preventative maintenance such as lubrication and fixing or repairing worn parts.
• Follows direction from supervisor
