Job summary

Utilities One seeks a Director of Power Operations to lead major power projects from planning through turnover, coordinating engineering, procurement, field crews, and customers. The role requires strong leadership of PMs and field teams and deep knowledge of utility construction practices.

The candidate will drive scheduling, risk management, and cost control while expanding opportunities in the power, telecom, and renewable sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale Distribution, Transmission, Substation, or utility infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing construction operations and field organizations.
• Strong leadership of Project Managers, Construction Managers, and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead power projects from initial planning through construction, testing, commissioning, and final turnover.
• Oversee site assessment, engineering review, estimating, permitting, procurement, scheduling, construction, quality control, energization, and closeout.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, field crews, subcontractors, utility representatives, and customers.
• Review drawings, scopes of work, technical specs, and project requirements before work begins.
• Identify risks, constructability issues, resources, and scheduling conflicts early.
