Job summary

You will use market data and forecasting to anticipate congestion and optimize trades across day-ahead and real-time markets. Collaborating with risk, operations, and analytics teams, you will develop strategies, monitor positions, and report on performance while ensuring compliance with market regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or related field; MBA or energy economics a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in power trading, congestion management, and transmission constraints.
• Strong understanding of power markets, pricing, and factors influencing congestion.
• Experience with trading platforms and financial modeling tools used in energy markets.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze transmission congestion patterns and identify trading opportunities.
• Forecast congestion and its impact on electricity prices using models and real-time data.
• Develop and implement congestion-driven trading strategies.
• Execute trades in day-ahead and real-time markets to capitalize on congestion opportunities.
• Manage positions across day-ahead, real-time, and forward markets.
• Collaborate with traders, analysts, and operations; provide reports on P&L and market conditions.
