Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Power HVAC Mechanic in the Power/HVAC division to perform maintenance and minor repairs on diesel engines, HVAC and dehumidification equipment on rental and customer units. You’ll document service, occasionally travel to customer sites, demonstrate equipment, assist with pickups and deliveries, and contribute to a safety-focused team that values customer service and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
• Intermediate diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic systems.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs frequently.
• Safety sensitive position per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment.
• Responsible for service documentation.
• Occasional travel to customer sites.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties as needed.
