Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Power HVAC Mechanic in the Power/HVAC division to perform maintenance and minor repairs on diesel engines, HVAC, and dehumidification/air purification equipment. You will contribute to safe operations and customer service while advancing toward higher-level Tech roles within the Service Department.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel and pneumatic systems.
• Solid mechanical background knowledge with various engines.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork with clear communication.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental equipment.
• Report machine condition to management.
• Responsible for service documentation.
• Occasional travel to customer sites.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Train lower level technicians as needed.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
