Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech II) to perform maintenance and minor repairs on diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification/air purification systems in a safety‑minded environment. This role supports the Power/HVAC division with hands‑on service and reliable customer interaction.

You will document service work, travel to customer sites as needed, demonstrate equipment, assist with pickup/delivery of parts and equipment, and contribute to a culture of safety

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
• Intermediate diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
