Performs semi‑skilled work assisting a stationary engineer in the operation, maintenance, and repair of stationary plant equipment providing heat, ventilation, power, refrigeration, or air conditioning. Operates high pressure gas and oil boilers and performs minor maintenance and repair on same; monitors HVAC computer; monitors the emergency electrical generators. Maintains all logs and State records.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Some experience or knowledge of assisting in the operation and maintenance or repair of mechanical or electrical equipment used for providing heat, ventilation, power, refrigeration or air conditioning, or in the repair of electrical, gasoline, or diesel‑powered equipment.
