Job summary

Milton CAT is seeking a Power and Energy Service Technician for the North Syracuse area to diagnose, repair, recondition, overhaul and maintain heavy equipment and power generation systems. You may perform after-hours work to meet customer needs in a fast-paced shop environment with union benefits.

Starting pay ranges from $30.52 to $38.46 per hour, with a full-time union position and comprehensive benefits including PTO, medical/dental/vision, disability, life insurance, retirement, and tuition

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CAT vocational trucks, engines, and power generation equipment knowledge helps.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Remove, disassemble, assemble, and install components.
• Identify problems via troubleshooting.
• Order correct replacement parts for timely service.
• Maintain and test vocational trucks, engines, and power generation equipment.
• Prepare accurate service reports and documentation.
• Willing to work after hours to meet customer needs.
