Tenaska, Inc. is seeking a Structured Products Analyst to provide analytics, risk assessment, and valuation of complex energy transactions across power and natural gas markets.

You will collaborate with Trading, Origination, and Energy Management to evaluate generation, storage, gas options, and tolling structures, building models and communicating results to leadership. The role develops and leverages Monte Carlo and other models, supports deal structuring, and offers a path toward broader

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative disciplines such as Engineering, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with an emphasis on advanced Excel and complex spreadsheet development.
• Understanding of SQL, data structures, programmatic data access via APIs, and version control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate to diverse audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a proactive approach to solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, price, and value opportunities identified by Trading, Origination, Energy Management, and other groups.
• Analyze longer-term and complex transactions across generation, storage, gas options, and tolling resources.
• Use models (Excel, statistical, Monte Carlo) to develop value ranges, risks, and outcomes.
• Develop and maintain structured-products valuation models, including Monte Carlo simulations.
• Collaborate with Trading and Origination to identify deal structure improvements.
• Develop new deal structures with valuation techniques and hedging strategies.
• Communicate assumptions, risks, and results to management and obtain approvals as needed.
• Provide analytical support to clients and other Tenaska units.
