Bomberger's Store in Lititz, PA is seeking a seasonal full-time Power Equipment Mechanic Assistant to support the service shop with repairs, parts lookup, and maintenance tasks. You will gain hands-on experience working on mowers and small engines alongside a team of skilled technicians.

Bomberger's Store - Immediate Opening for a Seasonal Full Time Power Equipment Mechanic Assistant

Bomberger’s Store, a trusted family-owned home improvement retailer in Lititz, is looking for a Power Equipment Mechanic to join their team. As a highly skilled assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of power equipment, learn valuable repair and maintenance skills, and be a part of a knowledgeable team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides support to mechanics in the daily functions of the service shop by performing the following duties:

• Uses hand and power tools to perform repairs. May also use torch, welder, and grinder.
• Replaces and repairs parts.
• Starts repaired machines and listens to sounds to test performance.
• Analyzes failures of customer equipment and accurately diagnoses the problem
• Performs repairs and routine maintenance with consistency and minimal comebacks.
• Prepares detailed list of parts required to perform service or repair for each unit.
• Assists other mechanics with questions, trouble shooting and repair.
• Cleans repaired and serviced equipment with pressure washer.
• Looks up parts for repair using appropriate websites or software.
• Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree(GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid PA Driver's License.

Ability to work Monday-Friday, daytime shift

Skills and Abilities:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software to look up parts; Eagle software and Part Smart Manufacturing software.
• Ability to use multimeter to properly conduct electrical tests.
• Understanding of basic wire schematics and ability to follow tests to diagnose problem.
• Must supply own basic hands tools
