Job summary

Faith Technologies, Inc. is seeking Engineering, Procurement and Construction Superintendents to lead the job site, coordinate contractors, uphold safety, schedules and quality, and maintain strong client contact.

The ideal candidate will have a history of managing large or multiple medium-to-large projects, a solid grasp of construction documents and subcontractor scopes, and experience administering contracts and handling changes.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED, Certified Trade Apprenticeship Program or Equivalent Experience, Ongoing Industry Training.
  • Experience: 4 years in relative trades, 3-6 years in a similar position or proven successful project execution.
  • Travel: Up to 100% travel.
  • Work Schedule: 6 am to 6 pm, Mon–Fri; nights, weekends and holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a liaison to clients, inspectors, and other visitors.
  • Promotes and maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards.
  • Complies with legal regulations and obtains all required inspections.
  • Manages and coordinates work to ensure construction aligns with contract documents and quality standards.
  • Develops and manages project schedules with all parties to meet milestones and completion dates.
  • Understands construction documents and subcontractors’ scopes of work.
  • Administers contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders and other agreements.
  • Manages changes in project scope and ensures current contract documents are used.
  • Ensures changes to agreements or scope are authorized by project leadership.
  • Maintains and updates project files: timecards, field reports, schedules, As-Built drawings, RFIs, layouts, and correspondence.
  • Supports project closeout: punch lists, Start-Up, CX of Systems.
  • Meets budget expectations by monitoring expenditures and variances.
  • Defines project purpose, allocates resources, and coordinates staff and subcontractors.
  • Supports all areas of FTI’s business and pre-construction budgeting/strategy.
  • MAY BE ASSIGNED TO MULTIPLE PROJECTS depending on size and phase.

This position leads job site supervision, coordination and performance of all project disciplines in accordance with contractual requirements including (but not limited to), on-site coordination, safety, scheduling, construction quality control, cost management, labor management, equipment procurement and delivery, and on-site client contact. Ideal candidates have a history of effectively managing large projects, and/or multiple medium-to-large projects, while routinely meeting and beating estimated job costs. Ideal candidates also have a complete understanding of construction documents and specifications including scope of work for all subcontractors, and the ability to organize and direct a project to completion.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: High school diploma or GED, Certified Trade Apprenticeship Program or Equivalent Experience, Ongoing Industry Training
  • Experience: 4 years of experience in relative trades, 3-6 years in a similar position or proven successful project execution
  • Travel: Up to 100%
  • Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Acts as a liaison to clients, inspectors, and other visitors.
  • Promotes and maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing company and industry standards and procedures.
  • Complies with legal regulations and obtains all required inspections.
  • Manages and coordinates work to ensure it's constructed in an orderly and deliberate manner that's consistent with the standard of care and quality set forth in the contract documents.
  • Develops, maintains and manages project schedules effectively with all parties to ensure that project milestone dates and overall schedule completion dates are met.
  • Has a complete understanding of construction documents and specifications for assigned project(s) including all subcontractors' scope of work.
  • Administers contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders and other agreements to ensure that the scope, terms and conditions are consistently and proactively being met.
  • Manages changes in project scope to ensure that the most current contract documents are being used at all times to prevent avoidable rework.
  • Ensure no changes in any form of agreement or to the project scope without authorization to proceed from project leadership.
  • Maintains, tracks, verifies, and updates project files and paperwork such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates, "As-Built" drawings, submittal verification/shop drawings, RFI, layout, and project correspondence.
  • Manages and or supports the closeout of a project, to include but not limited to Punch lists, Start-Up, and CX of Systems.
  • Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
  • Accomplishes construction project results by defining project purpose and scope; calculating resources required; establishing standards and protocols; allocating resources; scheduling and coordinating staff and sub-contractors; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions; resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing change.
  • Supports all areas of FTI's business interests.
  • Supports pre-construction efforts in the overall budgeting and strategy of project execution.
  • MAY BE ASSIGNED TO MULTIPLE PROJECTS, DEPENDING ON SIZE, COMPLEXITY, AND PHASE EACH PROJECT IS IN.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
