Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering in Lenexa, Kansas seeks an Engineering Scheduler to support multiple markets within our Power division. You will develop resource-loaded schedules and collaborate with project teams to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a BA/BS in construction management or engineering, 2+ years of scheduling experience, and proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Office. We offer hybrid work flexibility and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 2 years of scheduling experience preferably in engineering or construction.
• Proficiency with computers and software including Microsoft Office products and Primavera P6.
• Knowledge of, or a willingness to learn about, various project controls software, such as inEight Suite,etc.
• Ability to travel periodically. Relocation to jobsites is not required.
• Ability to translate complex engineering processes into project schedules
• Highly motivated, with a passion for excellence and taking initiative

Responsibilities

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, designers, procurement staff, construction managers, contractors and other project services staff to provide detailed planning and scheduling of projects from conceptual planning through engineering and construction
• Develop resource loaded schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long lead procurement items and other critical project deliverables to be scheduled and tracked for the projects
• Develop schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations and available manpower and resources
• Assess the impact of design changes and schedule slippages and inform company management and clients of all schedule updates
• Apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts to develop and maintain critic path logic networks; accumulate and access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting
• Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control problems.
• Ability to analyze, evaluate and forecast current status against an established baseline schedule and train other schedulers on that process.
• Interface with clients, attend regular meetings and give schedule health reports.
